Teresa Samper-Gras

Teresa Samper-Gras holds a degree in Sociology and Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a postgraduate qualification in Scientific Communication in Medicine from Pompeu Fabra University. She is a PhD candidate in Philosophy of Science and Gender Studies at the University of Valencia, where she is completing her doctoral thesis on feminist research in Spain and its potential for subversion. Her research interests focus on the relationship between science and gender and on research approaches grounded in new materialisms and feminist empiricisms.

She has worked in research and research management across different areas of public health. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the University of Valencia, and her research is affiliated with the University Institute for Women’s Studies.

She teaches in the Master’s Programme in Gender and Equality Policies and is an instructor on the course *Introduction to Gender Analysis in Research*, which has been delivered at more than fifteen universities and research centres across Spain and Latin America.

She has participated in research on health promotion, HIV/AIDS, and drug dependency and, more recently, in studies on care and masculinity, the gender pay gap, and shared custody. She is currently involved in a research project on open science in oncology.
