Francesc Núñez Mosteo
Francesc Núñez Mosteo is a lecturer in the Arts and Humanities Department at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He currently directs the Master’s Degree in Humanities: Art, Literature and Contemporary Culture, and his research focuses on the sociology of emotions.
Francesc Núñez Mosteo is a lecturer in the Arts and Humanities Department at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He currently directs the Master’s Degree in Humanities: Art, Literature and Contemporary Culture, and his research focuses on the sociology of emotions.
He studied Philosophy at the Universitat de Barcelona and Sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His work focused on the sociology of knowledge and religion, and he completed his PhD with a thesis on secularised priests around the 1970s. This thesis was published in 2005 by Editorial Mediterrània under the title Les plegades. Sacerdots secularitzats. He has also published several articles on this topic.
Since 2000, he has participated in and led research projects related to online sociability and the domestication, uses and adoption of digital technologies, as well as how these technologies intervene in couple relationships. He has published several book chapters and articles on these topics.
He is currently involved in the project funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness Gender and Postgenders: Mapping Meanings for Social Transformation.
