Alexandre Pichel-Vázquez
Alexandre Pichel-Vázquez is a predoctoral researcher at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. His research focuses on the assemblage of gender, bodies and affects in the Spanish far right through ethnographic techniques.
Alexandre Pichel-Vázquez is a predoctoral researcher at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He holds a degree in Political Science from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and a master’s degree in Communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, as well as a master’s degree in Gender Studies from the Interuniversity Institute of Women and Gender Studies.
He currently holds a grant from the University Teacher Training Programme of the Ministry of Universities for the completion of his doctoral thesis, with the reference FPU19/04981 and running from November 2020 to October 2023. His work focuses on the observation of the assemblage of gender, bodies and affects in the Spanish far right using different ethnographic techniques.
His research interests include gender studies, mass media, affect theory, studies on populism and new social movements, and studies on the far right.
