Adrià Voltes

Adrià Voltes is a member of Anthropology of Animal Life – Group of Ethnozoology Studies, affiliated with the Catalan Institute of Anthropology, and a member of the scientific team of the Franz Weber Foundation.

He holds a degree in Genetics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a Master’s degree in Biomedicine from Pompeu Fabra University, and a PhD in Biomedicine in the field of Neurobiology from Pompeu Fabra University.

His interests and ethical-political commitments revolve around the scientific debate on non-human animal sentience, speciesist and anthropocentric forms of discrimination, and the body as an emancipatory subject. His approach seeks to bring together research, science communication, and activism.
